This is the proposal being brought to the Board of County Commissioners from Staff regarding the storage of large commercial vehicles. The meeting is planned for 08/30/2023 @ 9:30 AM. Be sure to attend in person if you are able to. It is requested that you wear red if you are in support of the project. Live streaming should be available at https://discover.pbcgov.org/pages/ch20live.aspx

Meeting address: 301 N. Olive Rd WPB, FL 33401

PBG Encroaches Further Into The Acreage / Loxahatchee

It seems to be a busy week for our community, some good, some not so good, as in this plan. Palm Beach Gardens Council will be holding a meeting on 05/04/2023 @ 6 PM for the second reading of the involuntary annexation of several properties along Northlake Blvd, reaching as far as Grapeview Blvd. The meeting will be held at 10500 N Military Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33410. Please attend this meeting to voice your opinion on the continued encroachment into our community. PBG plans to take additional land along Northlake into the Acreage, some that is already approved for commercial and could be part of our municipality if and when the State ever allows us our American right to vote. Although the Feasibility Study showed we would have been self-sustainable before this commercial property having been built, this would have added additional income if we do incorporate. Let your voices be heard if at all possible.

GL Homes’ Reduced Indian Trails Grove Plan

PLEASE NOTE: The project for a total of 3,897 homes has already been approved by Palm Beach County, there is nothing we can do about this. However, by supporting the proposed plan, it will eliminate 1,285 if we show County we support this. For more details, go to https://boldsolutionspbc3.com/

We bid House Bill 1113 Farewell.

Hello fellow neighbors of the Acreage/Loxahatchee,

It brings us great sorrow to have to bring you this news. After almost three years of hard work, hundreds of hours away from our families, we are disappointed that once again, our request to have a referendum on determining our own future, has been denied by our own State Government.

No sooner than it being discovered that our bill was dead, The City of Palm Beach Gardens came in for the first of what will be many swoops chewing away at our community from the Northeast. They have notified the County that they will be involuntary annexing the pre-approved commercial properties from the West of Bay Hill Estates to Grapeview Blvd on the South side of Northlake. There are 16 landowners of the property being annexed, 10 of them agree to annexation while the other 6 do not want it.

Other annexation news, certain Town Council members of the Town of Loxahatchee Groves have made it known over the past couple of years, that they wish to annex in a portion of land at Southern that was included in our proposed boundaries. The City of Wellington is also planning future annexations to our South and West, including portions of land that are in our proposed incorporation boundaries.

All of our VoteLox group has been working hard to try to give our community a voice. We see the writing on the wall. It will be death by a million cuts to our community, but people say we are fear mongering. As long as we sit back and do nothing, developers, surrounding municipalities, the County and the State, will continue to pluck us apart. The State is helping us be torn apart, divided….piece by piece, by not allowing us to vote and decide what we want for ourselves.

Although this is the second slap in the face by our local and State government, we will be reviewing the possibilities for a path forward. We cannot allow our community to be swallowed up even though some think and want you to believe “nothing is changing” or “leave it as it is”. Things are changing right before our very eyes and have been for several years. Our only agenda has been to give our community the right to decide for ourselves.  Shame on those that continue to spread misinformation about our efforts. We will continue to provide the facts and information as much as possible. Be sure you register your email address on our home page here for future updates. We will not give up to obtain our American right to vote.

Palm Beach Gardens Involuntary Annexation Northlake Blvd (north and south) to Grapeview Blvd., The Acreage

Good afternoon Acreage/Lox residents. I wanted to post this ASAP in order to get the word out that Palm Beach Gardens is continuing to encroach into our neighborhood. They have submitted notice to Palm Beach County informing them of their plans to involuntarily annex the north and south side of Northlake Blvd from Bay Hill Estates to Grapeview Blvd., south to Hamlin Blvd. These areas are mostly zoned commercial and would be revenue for our community if/when our community ever decides to self-govern. This is not going to stop. More info to come as it becomes available.

Regards,
Bob Morgan, President
Acreage Landowners Association

01-22-2023 Newsletter Update

Hello neighbors!

We hope this newsletter post finds you well. We wanted to provide an update on a few items concerning the Self-Government/Incorporation effort.

1. On 01/12/2023, the Palm Beach Local Delegation unanimously voted YES on the bill which will allow the right to vote on Incorporation. This was the first step and a big hurdle!

2. The next step is Tallahassee. There will be at least 2 committees that will inspect and review the submitted documents, the proposed Charter and Feasibility Study. This will take place during the legislative session which starts in March. If it passes through committees, it will then go to the House floor for reading and vote twice and then to the Senate for their vote. If the bill passes both legislative bodies, it will then be presented to the Governor for his review and final decision at the end of the legislative session.

We, The Citizens Group, are planning on representation in Tallahassee during the committee meetings and session. We will post the dates these should be taking place when we receive them, they are usually very short notice. (3 business days)

3. Donations – We would like to ask for the community’s support by donating to our cause. Even if it is just $1.00 per household, it would greatly help with the mounting costs for advertising and outreach. If you would like to show your support by donating, you can visit our donation page at https://buy.stripe.com/4gwcOGbDl7C85Ik6oo

4. Committees – We are inviting residents to participate in committees we are creating. Committees include Planning/Zoning, Code Enforcement, Finance, and Communications (advertising/Wordpress knowledge). If you are interested in becoming involved with shaping our future, please go to the Committee Registration page at https://votelox2022.com/get-involved/ .

We will be reaching out to those that register very soon to begin organizing the groups. More info can be found on the web page. We hope to see you there!Lastly, If you would like to continue to receive email updates, we ask that you subscribe for updates on the homepage here. Any and all updates on the VoteLox website will email you immediately. We want to ensure as many residents as possible are being notified of the progress and any feedback we may need from you. We would like to thank those that have supported us, as well as those that have donated to our effort. We really appreciate it!
Feel free to reach out to us at info@votelox.com with any questions or comments you may have or you may comment below.

It’s unanimous! We have crossed the first hurdle!

For the win!!! Never ever been involved with politics before but after a 3 year battle fighting for the right to vote on saving our rural agricultural community, we got a unanimous decision from our local delegation to move forward to Tallahassee in hopes they vote YES to give us the right to vote for Self-Governing. Great job Representative Rick Roth, Lou Calantuoni, Elizabeth Accomando!!!! It’s been one helluva battle!

Committee Members Needed

Seeking volunteers to be engaged in helping protect and preserve The Acreage/Loxahatchee. Please review the list of topics at the link below. Your time and input is very valuable to the future of our community. Please share with your friends, family and social media pages!

Also, a reminder for our upcoming meeting to be held at the Acreage Library on 01/10/2023 @ 6:30 PM where we will be discussing the VERY IMPORTANT meeting on 01/12/2023 (more info on that below) as well as discussing financials if we incorporate. The agenda can be viewed/downloaded here.

The Delegates meeting is our most important meeting and our community needs your presence at the Local Delegation’s local bill and public hearing. The delegates need to hear your voice to let them know you request your right to vote. That meeting will be held in Jupiter, Thursday, 01/12/2023 @ 1:30 PM at the Els Center of Excellence, 18370 Limestone Creek Rd, Jupiter FL 33458. Please note this meeting location and time is decided by the Delegates, no one else. We have no control of this. We hope to see you there!

2023 Delegate Meeting

01/12/2023 Delegates meeting in Jupiter – URGENT!
Please note – The Delegates decide where and when meetings are held. Last year it was in Belle Glade.

Hello neighbors! The community needs you to show up to the meeting and show your support for the local bill sponsored by Rep. Rick Roth. This bill, if passed, will allow us to move forward towards a possible right to vote. Please come out and tell the local delegates that you want the right to vote; to determine your future!

Whether you are able to attend the meeting or not, please fill out the petition to demand your right to vote! The petition can be found here. https://votelox2022.com/petition/

PLEASE NOTE!!!! This is NOT a vote FOR or AGAINST establishing a self-government (incorporation), this is ONLY to obtain our right as US citizens to request that right which would take place in the future. Whether you are for or against incorporation, the Local Delegation should not be denying that right from us.
